How does the process work?
When we kick off the project, we send you the timeline and requirements. We work together according to the agreed upon timeline.
We have regular check-ins to gather feedback from you as we go along designing, refining and editing your site.
Do you provide technical support and maintenance?
Yes. We provide technical support and maintenance services on request. If you host your website with us, service and maintenance is included in the package.
Who owns my website, me or you?
You will own your website and we make sure of that!
After the site is live you will be provided with your vault which will contain all the information you need to take it forward, now and always.
How long does it take to create a website?
That depends entirely on what exactly you are looking for (a one-page site or a multi-page site), the platform (WordPress, Wix, Shopify, woo-commerce), and the kinds of features you need.
Very complex sites can take as long as 6 months and very simple sites can take as little as two weeks. We don't usually recommend rushing through something like a website. Your online presence is something that requires creativity, attention to detail, and technical skill to bring about. There are hundreds of decisions and tasks involved. Although the end product might seem simple, the process is complex. If you are looking for a rush job, we are not the right choice. We do not believe in sub-standard work and rushing through a website will never yield results that we are happy with.
Would my business benefit from digital marketing?
Definitely. Though companies in many business categories continue to approach digital marketing with skepticism, avoiding digital marketing denies your business access to the media the majority of consumers turn to first and at all hours of the day.
What would be required of me if we work together?
No one knows your business, your competitors, your clients, your industry and the dream that lies at the heart of your company as well as you do. Therefore, to truly do good work, we need to collaborate closely with you whether it is a website that we design for you or a full scale marketing plan that we are implementing.
So, you may ask, if you are required to allocate so much time and effort, then what precisely is it that we do? If you had to take a behind-the-scenes look at any of the work we do, you would see that what seems like simple tasks from an outside perspective usually involves multiple team members and often hundreds of decisions. A website is the result of thousands of actions and decisions. A good analogy is that when you sit at a restaurant and enjoy a peaceful meal, you are not privy to everything that went into the creation of that meal—the purchasing and preparation of the ingredients, the hiring of the chef, the cleaning of the kitchen, the decor of the restaurant, the admin. Similarly, the end product—a website or a social media calendar—when well done, will seem simple, beautiful and functional. But everything in this world that seems simple, beautiful and functional is the result of hard work and attention to detail.
If you are ready to pay attention to your digital presence and you understand that it will take effort, even on your part to get it done right then we are happy to work with you towards that end goal. If you are not quite ready to devote several hours a week to this then we suggest that you wait until you can do it to avoid stress and frustration.
What if you are not happy with the design?
We are assuming that you are choosing us because you have seen the work that we do and you are confident that we can create beautiful, functional, quality work for you. We have many steps along the way to determine the design direction starting with research and our Discovery process. We are usually able to achieve design direction within the first three design passes. If we are not able to, then that might be a sign that we are not the right fit for you and we need to talk about a refund. We are interested in delivering results that you are happy with. We never want to hold a client hostage. You as the client are required to stay involved and give your input while at the same time trusting our expertise. Just like you would not go to a restaurant and micro-manage the chef, we appreciate your trust and confidence in our expertise and work hard to deliver work of the highest quality.
What does a typical timeline look like?
Most projects follow a timeline that is roughly as follows:
- Initial chat to discover what you are looking for and for you to get to know us and for both of us to see if there's a fit between what you need and what we can provide.
- Scope-of-work meeting where we discuss exactly what you need
- Proposal and estimate
- Agreement meeting (agreeing on final cost, milestones, and timeline)
- Discovery process where we start the process in earnest as we research your competitors and refine your brand.
- Design Direction (achieved when homepage conceptualization and design is complete - typically 3 design passes)
- Site build-out of other pages (typically 3 - 4 design passes)
- Content addition
- Running pre go live checklists
- Make site live
- Running post go live checklists

What is SEO?

Is SEO is just about search engines?
